Why Local Content Strategy Checklist Matters
Local content is what separates businesses that rank in the Local Pack from those that do not. Your GBP listing gets you on the map, but your website content determines which cities, neighborhoods, and services you rank for. Every city you serve needs its own page with unique, valuable content.
The biggest mistake local businesses make is creating thin location pages with just an address and phone number. Google wants to see genuine local content: directions, neighborhood mentions, local testimonials, service details, and community involvement.

Location Pages 5 items
Create a location page for every city you serve
Every city you serve needs its own page on your website. The URL should include the city name: /locations/chicago/ or /service-areas/evanston/. Each page needs unique content, not just the same template with the city name swapped. This helps you rank for "[service] in [city]" searches.
1st step: Unique intro about serving that area
2nd step: Services offered in that area
3rd step: Local landmarks or neighborhoods
4th step: Customer testimonials from that area
5th step: Driving time from your base
Write unique content for each location page (500+ words)
